The infrared spectrometer is a Bruker IFS 66. It is mainly used for IR/Raman matrix isolation experiments. Its range extends from 120 to 4000 cm-1, with a maximum resolution of 0.01 cm-1.The Raman spectrometer is a Bruker RA104. It employs a YAG laser with a corresponding cutoff filter. Spectra may be obtained as close as 50 cm-1 from the exciting radiation. The spectrometer has a resolution of 2.0 cm-1.
